Our bond with the land
Our company was born in Atzara, in the centre of Sardinia, in the area ofMandrolisai. In these lands, wine as a vocation has always been very deeply rooted, propagated from generation to generation: indeed, the vineyards are traditionally handed down from father to son.
Here at Famiglia Demelas, we decided to join forces and face the challenge of shifting from private to commercial production, whilst remaining firmly committed to our local territory and the traditional local varieties. We produce authentic and traditional wine that is in step with the times.
It is a case of our stubborn dream becoming reality: our desire to unite affection and skill in a professional undertaking that has given us much joy. We produce in small quantities, offering a necessarily niche product, with the emphasis on attention to detail, and the desire to welcome and share our experience with visitors to the heart of the island.
The wines are embellished with labels designed by the local artist, Mauro Patta. We believe that wine and art represent the ideal combination. The enjoyment of both involves the entire spectrum of sensory experiences and stimulates our perceptive faculties.
